Avengers: Doomsday is reportedly set to open with a sequence so explosive that it will “eclipse everything Marvel has ever done” — and leave audiences completely stunned.

That’s according to industry insider John Campea, who has sent Marvel fans into overdrive after sharing what he’s heard about the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s next big event film. Speaking on a recent episode of The John Campea Show on YouTube, Campea said a source close to the production teased an opening that doesn’t just feature a massive set piece, but could make Doomsday the most action-packed Marvel movie to date.
“What this person told me is that the sheer volume of action alone is going to surpass anything Marvel’s ever done,” Campea said. “You never know how it’ll actually translate on screen, but in terms of minutes of action and overall scope, they indicated it’s going to blow everything else out of the water.”
Referencing X2: X-Men United and Batman v Superman — two superhero films he considers to have standout opening sequences — Campea suggested Avengers: Doomsday could top them both. “If this lands the way it’s being described, people are going to lose their f****** minds,” he added. “This movie doesn’t ease you in. It kicks the door down and fires you out of the gate like a cannon.”

It’s unclear whether Campea’s source revealed specific plot details or simply hinted at the scale of the opening moments. However, within the last day, what appear to be major leaks related to the film’s opening sequence have surfaced online. Unsurprisingly, those details have spread rapidly across social media, further fueling excitement among MCU fans.
Out of respect for spoilers, those leaks won’t be discussed here. That said, one of Avengers: Doomsday’s recently released teasers may offer a subtle clue. Of the four trailers Marvel has unveiled so far, the X-Men-focused teaser is the only one to feature noticeable action — including a brief shot of James Marsden’s Cyclops firing off a signature optic blast during what looks like a large-scale battle.
If that moment is indeed taken from the film’s opening sequence, it could be a sign that Avengers: Doomsday is aiming to outdo every previous MCU installment when it comes to pure action spectacle.
