Users on Reddit, as highlighted by Android Authority, report that smart bulbs, light switches, and even smart plugs are showing up as offline in the Google Home app. Judging by the volume of complaints, this doesn’t appear to be an isolated issue.

The silver lining is that Google has officially acknowledged the problem. In a response posted within the Reddit thread, the company confirmed that its team is actively working on a fix and aims to restore normal functionality as quickly as possible.

For now, affected users will need to be patient while waiting for the update to roll out. In the meantime, devices that support their own companion apps should continue to work independently of Google Home.
