Forget daily charging – this upcoming phone’s 10,001mAh battery helps it last a week, but it’s still lighter than an iPhone 17 Pro Max

Smartphone batteries are getting much bigger, and this feels like a new battery revolution. Last year, phones like the OnePlus 15 already moved beyond the usual 5,000mAh battery with a 7,300mAh capacity. Now, Realme has gone even further by teasing a phone with a massive 10,001mAh battery.

The phone is called the Realme P4 Power, and it will launch on January 29. Realme has already shared many details. According to the company, the phone can offer up to 185.7 hours of music playback, 21.3 hours of navigation, 32.5 hours of YouTube watching, or 72.3 hours of call time on a single charge.

For most users, this means the battery could easily last several days. Light users might even get close to a full week without charging. Despite the huge battery, the phone weighs only 219g. That is similar to the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and lighter than the iPhone 17 Pro Max, even though those phones have much smaller batteries.

This is possible thanks to silicon anode battery technology, which can store more energy than the graphite used in traditional lithium-ion batteries. This technology, also used in some electric vehicles, allows higher energy density without adding much weight.

Fast charging and built to last

The Realme P4 Power supports 80W fast charging and 27W reverse charging, so it can also be used to charge other devices. The phone has passed military-grade shock tests, and Realme claims the battery will keep over 80% of its health for up to eight years.

Beyond the battery, the phone also has strong specs. It uses a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra 5G processor, features a 50MP main camera, and includes a 144Hz display with a peak brightness of 6,500 nits.

Pricing and wider availability are still unknown. For now, the phone appears to be launching only in India, but with such an impressive battery, many people hope it will be released globally.
