A rare YouTube TV deal appears, and it’s surprisingly generous

YouTube TV isn’t exactly known for offering long free trials, and meaningful discounts are usually limited to major promotional periods. That’s what makes this latest YouTube TV deal stand out.

Available now through mid-March, the new promotion extends YouTube TV’s free trial to 10 days — more than three times longer than the usual three-day trial. After the trial ends, subscribers can continue with two months of service priced at $59.99 per month, representing a $23 monthly savings compared to the regular $82.99 rate.

What’s especially appealing is the flexibility. You’re not locked into paying for the discounted months. If you just want to test the service, you can enjoy the full 10-day trial and cancel before any charges apply.

There are a few conditions to keep in mind. You’ll need to provide a payment method even if you plan to cancel after the trial, and the offer is limited to new YouTube TV subscribers only.

If you’re thinking about signing up, don’t wait too long — the promotion expires on March 17.

This deal includes access to the YouTube TV Base Plan, which offers local broadcast channels along with a wide selection of popular cable networks such as ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN News, AMC, CNBC, CNN, Bravo, Fox News, IFC, NBC News Now, TNT, and many others. In total, the lineup includes more than 140 channels.

Subscribers also get unlimited cloud DVR storage and the option to add premium channels like AMC+, HBO Max, Fox Nation, MGM+, Paramount+ with Showtime, and Starz for an additional fee.

While the discounted bundle is available now, YouTube TV is still expected to roll out cheaper, genre-focused channel packages later this year. More than 10 of these “skinny” bundles are reportedly on the way, including a sports-focused option featuring ESPN Unlimited, FS1, and the NBC Sports Network.

Details on pricing and availability for these upcoming bundles are still limited, but they’re expected to cost significantly less than the standard $82.99-per-month base plan.
