Dyson Beauty’s new limited-edition colorway is ‘inspired by the summer solstice’, and it might be my favorite yet

Dyson has unveiled a fresh design for its haircare devices, introducing a new “Ceramic Apricot and Topaz” colorway inspired by the Summer Solstice. The palette blends vibrant mandarin orange, soft apricot tones, and accents of gold and pink to reflect what Dyson describes as the brightness and energy of the longest day of the year.

Inspired by sunlight and summer colors

According to Amelia Ayerst, the design team studied changes in daylight intensity, temperature, and the color spectrum when researching the solstice. Using that data, they created pigments that mimic the warm wavelengths of visible light at sunrise, midday, and sunset, resulting in a mix of apricot, bold orange, and playful pink shades.

The styling tools feature:

  • Apricot and orange for the main body
  • Metallic pink around the filter casing
  • Gold accents on buttons and switches

The overall look is intended to evoke energy, warmth, and the vibrant feeling of summer.

Rolling out across Dyson’s haircare lineup

Dyson plans to introduce this limited-edition colorway across several of its most popular styling tools, including:

  • Dyson Airwrap Multistyler
  • Dyson Airstrait Wet‑to‑Dry Straightener
  • Dyson Supersonic Nural Hair Dryer
  • Dyson Supersonic r Hair Dryer

However, the Dyson Corrale Straightener does not appear in the promotional images, suggesting it may not be included in this release.

A “limited edition” that might last

Although Dyson labels the Ceramic Apricot and Topaz design as a limited edition, previous special colorways have stayed on sale for quite some time. For example, the Jasper Plum and Red Velvet versions released in early 2025 are still widely available.

Availability

In the UK, the new colorway will be sold directly through Dyson and the retailer Boots. While Dyson typically expands new designs to international markets, there’s currently no confirmed release timeline for regions such as the United States or Australia.

Given its warm tones and sun-inspired aesthetic, the Ceramic Apricot and Topaz finish appears designed to capture the mood of summer — even if the marketing description might be a little poetic.
