Last chance! Google Pixel 10a preorders end soon — here’s how to get the device for cheap

If you’re thinking about buying the Google Pixel 10a, you’ll want to act quickly. Preorders for this new mid-range smartphone are scheduled to end on March 5, so there’s limited time left to take advantage of the launch deals.

Several retailers and carriers are currently offering attractive promotions. Major carriers are giving the device for free with a new line and no trade-in required, while stores like Amazon and Best Buy are including a $100 gift card with purchase. Meanwhile, Google is offering up to $450 off with a trade-in, along with additional discounts for customers using the Google Fi prepaid network.

In general, the preorder period is when smartphones receive some of their strongest early promotions, so buyers looking for the best value may want to act sooner rather than later. While prices often drop months after release, significant discounts at major retailers typically take time to appear.

What’s new with the Pixel 10a?

The Pixel 10a, which starts at $499 unlocked, introduces a sleeker flat design and improvements to both battery life and charging speeds.

One of its most distinctive features is the ultra-slim design. Unlike many modern smartphones that have a noticeable rear camera bump, the Pixel 10a uses a completely flat back panel, with the 48MP main camera integrated neatly into the body for a cleaner and more minimal look.

Inside, the phone is powered by the Google Tensor G4 chip rather than the newer Google Tensor G5 used in the flagship Google Pixel 10. This means performance will sit comfortably in the mid-range category, though users will still get access to Google’s latest Gemini Live AI features.

The phone also features a 1080 × 2424 resolution display with an adaptive 60–120Hz refresh rate, designed to deliver smooth visuals while helping extend battery life.

A full review of the device will be coming soon. Until then, early hands-on impressions already provide a closer look at the design, features, and overall performance of the phone.
